Notes for Weeks 1 & 2
Inspired action is crucial for embodiment. Otherwise we’re just thinking about all these things. You know what the exact opposite of embodiment is? THINKING ABOUT EMBODIMENT.*
*Said as someone who’s thought a lot about this. :D
The brain balancing tapping tool comes up a few times, once in the masterclass and once in the nervous system module.
If all the tools of the Embodiment Chapter don’t feel like they’re getting you anywhere, or you aren’t implementing them for any reason, the healings in the Money Tree chapter are somatic healings that will greatly support you in landing in your body, so please feel free to revisit those for support.
Feel Amazing Masterclass Notes
Routines are not to give yourself another place to beat yourself up. They’re to help you feel at ease and good in your body. Whatever that looks like on this particular day.
My relationship with routines - or daily devotions, as I sometimes prefer to call them - changes often. When I created this video, I was pretty strident about my routines because they’d been working so well for me.
But sometimes this kind of thing just sounds like too much work. In those moments, I like to ask myself “What feels like a relief right now?” “What do I want to do right now?” Go with flow, and allow your feelings to be whatever they are. Different seasons of life call for different levels of effort.
While our habits and structures determine our lives and health, they’re always there to make you feel better - not worse. So if you ever catch yourself shaming yourself or beating yourself up about your daily habits, about what you’re doing or not doing, pause and ask how you can best nourish yourself today. Sometimes the answer is “Lie on the grass and read a book.” Or “Lie on the couch and binge all the Netflix.”
Devotion to self over outcome, always.

Since running the sessions that form the first two weeks of Embodiment, I had the experience of feeling completely incapable of choosing my experience. Of feeling more powerless than I had in many years, if not my entire life.
So I want to reiterate that while we are choosing our experience, we’re not choosing every situation in our lives. What we’re choosing is how to respond. We can choose to reframe. We can choose to redirect. We can choose to halt the internal drama or to cease the complaining. We can choose to lean back into trust - in ourselves, in the universe. When you feel like you have zero choice in the matter, you can choose to trust what life brings you - whether it’s some magic or a new lesson or something really annoying that you can then use as a springboard for something else.
In some seasons of life, we feel magical and empowered and like snapping our fingers and the world lines up to obey. In other seasons of life, we’re just riding the wave as best we can and practicing and intending - or sleeping and worrying. Until we get sick of ourselves and return to our power of choice. Or maybe we realize that what our human wanted and our soul was directing us toward were two different things and our soul won this round. Which is probably for the best. Heh.
Exercise note: A year after making this video, I was diagnosed with adrenal burnout. Guess what you're not allowed to do with adrenal burnout? EXERCISE. Gentle walks and yin yoga are about the best you can do while you're healing your adrenals. I just wanted to make that known, in case you're in a phase of life where exercise genuinely sounds terrible and your body has zero interest. Our bodies are very intelligent.
Listen to your body over me (or anyone else), every single time. :)
